BronxNet provides local television by the people of the Bronx, for the people of the Bronx. The BronxNet channel keeps viewers up-to-date on local issues and face-to-face with the borough’s representatives.
On Wednesday April 6th, 2016, Dr. William Ursillo and Dr. Reva Gershen-Lowy appeared on BronxNet to provide an update on the status of the proposed Cardinal McCloskey Community Charter School and to promote additional Community Outreach Meetings for the proposed school, being held on Monday, May 2nd and Tuesday, May 3rd.

Dr. Ursillo and Dr. Gershen-Lowy spoke about the plans for the school and the need within the community, especially for at-risk children. They noted that the application was submitted on March 29th, 2016 with a decision date from SUNY expected in mid to late May.
BronxNet programs are available on Channels 67-70 on Cablevision and on Channels 33-38 on the Verizon Fios system. The programs on BronxNet are also live streamed on the internet.
The next round of Outreach Meetings will take place on Monday, May 2nd at Sacred Heart Head Start at 95 West 168th Street and on Tuesday May 3rd at Msgr Boyle Head Start at 3022 Hull Avenue in the Bronx. Meetings will begin at 5:00PM. Childcare will be available and refreshments will be served.
